To understand how our approach differs, it is helpful to consider the traditional estate planning experience.
In many traditional models, clients meet with an attorney who explains estate planning in complex and technical terms. Although the attorney may appear knowledgeable, clients often leave the meeting without fully understanding their plan. Documents are prepared, signed, and placed in a binder, giving clients a sense that their estate planning is complete.
However, the process frequently ends there. Important follow-up steps—such as transferring assets into a trust—may be left unfinished due to confusion, lack of guidance, or difficulty contacting the attorney. Ongoing updates are also uncommon, as clients may hesitate to seek assistance due to additional legal fees.
Over time, life changes occur. Homes are refinanced or sold, new assets are acquired, children grow older, and laws evolve. Without regular review and updates, estate plans can quickly become outdated or misaligned with a client's current circumstances.
As a result, when incapacity or death occurs, families may discover that assets were never properly transferred, key provisions are outdated, and the plan no longer reflects the client's wishes. In many cases, this leads to probate and additional legal complications that the original planning was intended to avoid.
How Do I Know All This?
Because not too long ago, it happened to my family and to my business, and I swore it would never happen to my clients when I created my own firm. And since then, I have seen countless clients who have had this exact experience come in to see me.
Unfortunately, I discovered that the estate planning industry was not designed to serve growing families who experience lots of change on their way to success. It was designed to serve 70 and 80-year old's who were preparing for death.

We Help You Transfer Your “Family Wealth”
At Dynasty Law, we believe your financial wealth is only a small part of your overall Family Wealth. Your most valuable assets—your intellectual, spiritual, and human wealth—are often lost upon incapacity or death. Surveys show that inheritors care even more about these intangible assets than money.
Most estate plans focus solely on financial transfer, leaving your values, lessons, stories, and insights unshared. How much do you really know about your grandparents' values, their most cherished possessions, or the wisdom they wanted to pass on?
We include the capture and transfer of these intangible assets in every estate plan we create. Our unique tools help you pass on not just your money, but your experience, knowledge, and life lessons—the legacy your loved ones will truly value.
We'll explain exactly how this works during your Estate Planning Session.
